What is the Intro to Motorcycles Class?

A two-hour introduction to motorcycles and how to do a pretrip inspection. Other important training concepts. This class is also great for the person that isn't sure if Motorcycle Riding is for them... A motorcycle permit is not mandatory for participation in the class. Class Dates:  Saturday at 1pm on either 7/14 or 8/4

What is our student road test passing rate?

Ferrari Driving School students that have taken the Instructor's training recommendation have had a FIRST time passing rate of over 90%. During the first lesson we always evaluate and give an honest opinion on your SPECIFIC training needs.

What is the Defensive Driving Course?

This course applies to ALL license types and will give you a savings of 10% on your liability insurance. In order to continue receiving that 10% discount you must take the course every 3 years. To reduce up to 4 points off your driving record you can take the course every 18 months. You can take this course online or at one of our Queens, Brooklyn, and Bronx locations. What do I need to start practicing?

  1. First thing you need to do is get your Motorcycle Permit. Click here to start studying for the Permit Test ONLINE!
  2. Once you feel you're ready, go to your nearest D.M.V & pass your Motorcycle Permit Test.
  3. Call us to set up an evaluation lesson.  This lesson will identify your training needs and your instructors will make a training recommendation.

How do you teach, does the instructor get on the back of the motorcycle?

No, it's not necessary. First we explain what everything is used for on the cycle. Then we will check your balance with our "Walking the Cycle" procedure & then progress from there.

What do the numbers stand for in motorcycle models?

The engine size.   Our training bikes are 125 engine size which are great for beginners.

What is the difference between a cruiser style & street bike?

On cruiser style cycles you sit upright and steer with your arms, which is easier to learn on than street cycles, which require leaning.

What kind of motorcycles will I train on?

We have a fleet of cruiser style Kawasaki Eliminators. Cruiser style cycles you sit upright and steer with your arms, which is easier to learn on than street cycles, which require leaning.
