The 5-Hour ClassTo take your road test, you'll need to complete a five-hour pre-licensing course. This class, also known as the MV-278, is a DMV-required program that can now be completed online via Zoom — no need to come in person.The course covers essential topics including road safety, basic vehicle operation, and New York State traffic laws. Upon completion, you'll receive a certificate that is valid for one year and required when scheduling your road test.FDS offers this online class at a competitive rate with discounts available for students enrolled in our behind-the-wheel program.
